I was regularly asked "Why isn't Murphy on your site yet?" and "Where's Murphy's page?". So, after much pressure, here it is!
Here is Murphy our Jack Russell Terrorist. I know what your thinking, yes some Jack Russells CAN be snappy and nasty tempered but not this little chap. He lurves everybody. You are in more danger of being licked to death by him than anything else. However he seems to know when someone is afraid of him or can't be fussed for an allergy etc and keeps his distance until invited. He is lovely but not perfect. OK when someone knocks on HIS door he barks like crazy, but that's as a warning to me. He does exactly the same when the phone rings, because he thinks that we are too thick to know where the noise is coming from and need leading to it.
As you can see he is a rough coated, hairy little beast with a full "flagstaff" (tail) which he uses to its full advantage. It makes quite an effective fan in the summertime, and you always know if he has been up to something as then he carries it at half mast.
Here he is laid on my feet and a foot stool. He can sleep anywhere.
And frequently does!
The comfier the better.
The problem is that he is notorious for being a Sleep Inducing Dog.
As you can see he has always had this effect.
No-one is immune. I always warn trainees at classes or people coming to me for healing about the Murphy Effect.
The other thing he is famous for is that he is a healing dog.
We noticed that, from being a tiny puppy, he always wanted to
be as close as possible when healing was being performed.
He would slowly sag to the floor and took
ages to wake after a session.
After this when he sat on your knee or laid beside
you, you could feel tingling from him.
As he got older we realised that he would "zoom in" on anyone coming into the house that needed healing or comforting.
Many people have commented that they feel the same effect from Murphy as they feel from my hands when I am giving them healing. We call him our "Little Storage Radiator".
He is always ready and willing to "help" us, whatever we are doing.
How poor Steve managed to get this plant put in without planting Murphy too, I don't know.
This image shows Murphy in one of his favourite seasonal jobs, helping to decorate the Christmas tree. He adores the lights and would happily sit amongst the strings of them for hours.
So I always let him lay with them whilst I sort out the other decorations. When the tree is fully decorated his favourite place to lay is underneath it looking up through the "fairy lit" branches.
Murphy would like to thank you for looking at HIS page, but he's very tired after all this work; yes he's been sat with me all the time, so now he's going to indulge in his favourite passtime. Bye.
